1. Who is required to complete CPD training under NSW law?
Under the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002, all holders of a Class 1 or Class 2 licence and Assistant Agents (certificate of registration) in NSW must complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training each year to legally maintain their authority to practice.
2. When does the CPD year run?
The CPD year runs from 1 July to 30 June of the following year. This is a recent change—previously, it was March to March. CPD is no longer linked to your licence renewal date and must be completed within the designated CPD year.

4. What are the approved formats for completing CPD training?
CPD training must be delivered in one of the following interactive formats:
Face-to-face training with a maximum of 40 participants, or
Interactive webinar with a maximum of 25 participants
All training must include an assessment activity to verify participation and understanding.
