If you work as a business support person, this is the ideal course to bring you up to speed with the latest business and computing skills. It will help you become more efficient in your day-to-day operations and improve your confidence in dealing with business regulations.

The Certificate III in Business is equally useful if you are already working in an office, type well, but need an update with your business technology, writing, communication or MYOB computerised accounting skills.

The learning is practical and hands-on, giving you step-by-step instructions, gradually building skills in a self-paced manner.

Business Leaders will only accept an initial payment of no more than $1,499 from each leaner prior to the commencement of the course.

This fee protection arrangement complies with national standards designed to limit the amount paid by a leaner in advance of services being delivered. Course fees of more than $1499.00 will be paid off during the course in instalments according to a set payment plan . Training tuition fees are GST exempt.

Commencement of training is when the learner has finalised their pre-enrolment and enrolment and have been allocated their trainer and have received course material, log in to Catapult where applicable or have attended their first class (whichever comes first).

What experience or qualifications are recommended to meet the course's entry requirements?

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. Applicants must be able to demonstrate competency in basic written and spoken English. You will need to be comfortable operating a computer such as saving files and creating folders. Some basic ability to use a word processing program will be of assistance. Internet access is essential

At a minimum, what computer skills and software do I need for my course?

You don’t have to be a computer whiz to succeed in learning, but you should be comfortable typing, using the internet and email, chatting to your teachers or others, reading course content online, using common software and performing other basic tasks.
Minimum specifications for your computer are:
• Microsoft Windows XP, or later, or Mac OS X or above
• Microsoft Office or equivalent

• Up-to-date internet browser
You may also need access to:

How much time should I study this course each week (on average) to complete in the required time?

This course will take around 10 hours a week to complete over 12 months, based on 30 weeks of participation. If you already have industry experience and knowledge you may find you will complete more rapidly.

on completion of this course, what is the pathway to further study?

To gain higher level qualifications, you can progress on to a variety of specialist business courses, including project management, leadership and management, business administration and human resource management at Diploma level. Once you complete a business course at diploma level you can gain credit towards university studies.

How will I send in my assesment tasks?

Once you enrol you will work from the learning platform of our website. Your course information will tell you what assessment events you are required to do and provide instructions on how to upload them so your assessor gets them. If you are asked to send video or audio evidence for an assessment you can upload it to YouTube, Vimeo or DropBox and just upload the URL to the course website so we know where to look.

What happens if I am found not competent in a unit or an assessment event?

Your teacher/assessor will provide feedback on your assessment event and will let you know if you have met the requirements. If you have not met the requirements, you will have two extra attempt to resubmit your assessment and get it to the required standard to become competent in this unit. If you do not succeed in your third attempt a fee may be charged for an assessor to mark your third submission.
